Hi, I'm Caz a versatile graphic designer with a background rooted in design for print and a growing portfolio of digital design
Before setting up River House Creative in 2012. I worked in corporate design and advertising in London, working with names such as BP, BNY Mellon, Morgan Stanley, Jardine Lloyd Thompson, National Audit Office, CII, Lexis Nexis. I've also enjoyed freelancing within agencies in and around London and have completed projects all over the UK remotely. Working with brands such as the Citizens Advice Bureau, Morrisons, and many magazine publications including The Lady, Ski & Snowboard magazines.
I started working as an apprentice typesetter at a large print firm in Margate, Kent. Under the guidance of a brilliant tutor called Dave Rogers I learned the importance of clean accurate layout skills and design. After a while I indulged a pull to the City of London to work at Screaming Colour near Old Street, a leading printer, well respected in the industry for their quality in colour management and use of cutting edge technology. Here I worked on a suite of magazines, responsible for the layouts, advertising pages and output to film and then printing to some of the first digital print machines used in London. Creating layouts and retouching images for Bridal magazines, weekly business publications and Daily Mail Ski and Snowboard magazine. I then navigated my design career through various agencies and corporate companies using my print knowledge to create exceptional outputs. I've worked in a variety of design environments, design agencies, advertising agencies and in-house before and since setting up on my own.
My love for digital design and print grew from the first time I went to London for work experience in the late 90s. I worked at a brilliant company called Contour Colour in Rathbone Place, London. Right by Tottenham Court Road, where most of the electrical shops were the only ones selling the brand new Apple iMacs, the first shoe in for Apple to the consumer industry. I remember peering in the window and seeing the array of beautiful jelly bean coloured compact computers, just the beginning of Apple Macintosh storming in to disrupt the consumer market of computers and design forever.
Today I work for a range of fantastic clients from large corporates to small businesses. I've worked with some amazing and inspiring people and I still really love what I do. When I'm not working on a project you'll find me walking the North Downs in Kent, shopping on the King’s Road in London or soaking up some emerging Art talent at the Saatchi gallery.
